Camping at the Mission

After an interesting night, we needed a restful stop in Bamenda before visiting any more kingdoms along the Ring .  Well, it was at least a better night of sleeping than the last camp but the slim balls and shower definitely had me worried.
I love this picture.  In the distance, you see the sign saying there has been five deaths here and then all the guard railing torn out from cars going over the bank.
I thought the accidents might be due to some overloading issues but this car seems to have all its bananas in place.
Then we found these fresh mushrooms for sale on the street.  We bought two bundles for dinner.
Then it was cabbage!  The agriculture here is beautiful.  I cannot stress the difference from , who did not grow much of anything.
For dinner, we grilled up some rabbit with those mushrooms in a mustard yogurt sauce served over smashed potatoes.
It looks nice and grassy but there were slime balls all over the place.  They were left there by toads after they met other toads late in the night.
This was the of our campsite.  The fun part was getting in without stepping in the sludge , shutting the door without moving the stick, and then turning on the ice .
Tomorrow we are going to visit the Fon of Bafut.  We have our gifts all ready for the king.

Beautiful! What exactly does “slim balls” mean? Your dinner sounds fabulous. Did you actually catch the rabbit yourself?
