Live it! Love it! Hong Kong

We just got word about two weeks ago that Bobby’s step grandma had a stroke while in Hong Kong on vacation. She has been there since. So tomorrow we will be on our way to go and see her. We had to wait a little while for the air fares to drop since it was the peak travel time of Easter for Filipinos. We will take a Tiger Air Flight to Macau, spend the night there and then take the ferry over to Hong Kong the next day. First we have to try to get to Clark airport. So from here, Sagada, we need to take the bus to Baguio, which is approximately 7 hours. While in Baguio we will ask around about which bus to take. The airport situation in the Philippines is never quite straightforward. They claim Clark to be a Manila airport, although it is about 2 hours outside Manila. Then within the city, there are actually 3 airports and nobody can ever really make sense of it.

Any how, so we will be on our way to hopefully bring some comfort to his grandma and hopefully lift her spirits a bit. Apparently there will be her brother coming shortly after us and they will be escorting her back to the U.S. Other than visiting his grandma, we are looking forward to at least getting some dim sum and other great food…and hopefully not spend too much.
